Circle of Peace Church is a Christ-centered church, which accepts the entire New Testament as its creed. Formerly called Glendale Church of the Brethren, this church was founded in 1892. Our current vision is to connect people to God peacefully, simply, together, as Jesus did.
Church of the Brethren pioneers settled in the area that is now Glendale in 1891 and founded Glendale in 1892. Service to the surrounding community has been important to members of the Glendale Church of the Brethren. Through the years, the church has played a significant role in the Glendale community, helping to establish and continuing to support the Glendale Family Development Center and St. Mary's/ Westside Food Bank Alliance. For many years the church provided a site for the county health department clinic and women of the church ministered to families at the Arrowhead Ranch Migrant Camp. Over 100 persons from the Peoria/Glendale area helped us discover a new name for our congregation: "Circle of Peace, a Church of the Brethren since 1892."
