Mission:  Improving the lives of at-risk children and strengthening families and communities
by providing high-quality and cost-effective services that advance positive child welfare
practice and sound public policy. 

Services Include:

-Family Advocacy and Support: assists families at risk of having children placed in out-of-home care.

- Family Economic Success (FES): supports low-income families in building stronger financial structures.

- Foster Care and Adoption Services.  National Tax Assistance for Working Families Campaign: partnership b/w the Annie E. Casey Foundation and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.  This program puts the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) to work for low-income families, also provides free assistance in filing tax returns, claiming the EITC and other tax credits, and learning about ways to build assets and financial stability.

- Post-Permanency Services: post-adoption services for children from foster care.  CFS works with adoptive parents to address the emotional and psychological challenges foster children face during adoption.  Also works with guardians and other relative caregivers to maintain family permanence.
