Located in the Museum District, 2 blocks south of Hwy. 59, the 11,350 square foot building offers over 3,000 square feet of museum quality exhibition space, nearly 1,000 square feet of retail space, and six artist studios.
Houston Center for Contemporary Craft’s mission is “to advance education about the process, product, and history of craft.” The Craft Center is not simply about viewing craft. It is a place you can connect with it! Fostering a creative kinship through exhibitions, educational programs, a retail gallery and on-site artists in residence, HCCC is a contemporary living museum! All regular programming is free to the public, supported by the contributions of generous members and friends who make the most important thing of all - a difference!
