The Garden

Garden has been in existence since 1979 then went dormant for many years until we revitalized the space in April 2008.  Members were hesitant to the idea of composting until BBG hosted a compost workshop in the garden.  Since then we have had full member participation.  We currently have a 2 bin system and would like to up-grade to a larger system.

Currently only garden members are composting; we have however received materials sporadically from the neighborhood i.e. sanitation dept at our request threw bags of leaves from the trucks into the garden; and we do sometimes get material from the restaurant at the corner of Throop & Willoughby.
