Nature and Extent of Contamination: a) contaminants - Based upon investigations conducted to date, the primary contaminants of concerns for the site include tetrachloroethylene (PCE), trichloroethylene (TCE), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), lead, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH). b) areal/depth extent - from the limited investigations performed by AKRF (2008) and Roux (2009) the area and depth of the contamination has not been determined yet. c)concentrations - The PCE concentrations in soil ranged from non-detect to 78,000 ppm; lead ranged from non-detect to 12,000 ppm. The PCE concentration in groundwater ranged from non detect to 72,000 ppb; the PCE concentration in the subslab soil gas was determined to be as high as 95,000 micrograms per cubic meter.
