Built in the 1860s, Prospect Park is now a unique piece of living history. It was built to serve as a hangout for the large population of "Brooklynites". The park is man-made, the water comes from a running tap of New York's fresh drinking water. Our data was taken from the area of the Boathouse, and its lake. Which is the only freshwater in Brooklyn. Lake samples were taken along with time spent birding.
