Daytime classes in Bridgeport and Norwalk offer adults the chance to improve their employability by increasing basic skills and studying for the GED. Instruction is personalized based on each person’s abilities. Bridgeport also offers a GED testing site. (203) 953-3270
A fully-equipped mobile technology lab assists businesses with recruitment and training, and serves as a mobile One Stop for jobseekers throughout Connecticut.
Community Resource Center
Located in the CTWorks One Stop at 350 Fairfield Ave. in Bridgeport, the Center offers personal assistance to customers to help them identify and locate resources, services or benefits to help them in their job search and career success.
CRI’s CTWorks system in southwestern Connecticut uses MicroSoft’s Digital Literacy curriculum to ensure foundational skills are strong.
Jobseekers with disabilities receive individualized counseling, job search assistance and adaptive technology. Everyone Works is open to any jobseeker aged 18 or older with disabilities, commonly those with sight and hearing impairments. There are no income or residency restrictions.
Fathers for Life
Fathers for Life promotes positive emotional and financial involvement of all parents with their children, offering case management, child support modification and group sessions with the nationally certified 24/7 Dads curriculum.
Open to anyone currently on parole in Connecticut who is not a resident or participant in another Department of Correction-funded work release program, ReEntry Works assists former offenders in increasing skills and gaining jobs to succeed in the workforce.
Bridgeport, Hartford and New Haven A unique three-week attitudinal job readiness course in a simulated work environment, emphasizing personal accountability; includes case management, job leads and two years of follow-up support. STRIVE for the Future
For youth aged 14 and older, STRIVE for the Future offers STRIVE attitudinal job readiness training, basic skills education, individual case management and vocational training and job placement.
