Services are available to male and female offenders, ages 18 and over, who have been referred by the Connecticut Department of Correction.
ReEntry-Assisted Community Housing, or REACH Waterbury, is a scattered-site supportive housing program designed to assist both male and female offenders transitioning back into the community. Rent is based on the tenant's income. REACH Waterbury provides housing in Bristol, New Britain, Torrington, Meriden, Danbury and Waterbury. In this apartment‚Äźstyle living environment, apartments are shared by two same-gender offenders.
To prepare offenders for independent living, REACH assists with finding employment, financial management, and obtaining safe, affordable, permanent housing. Services include case management and employment assistance.
Average length of stay is 120 days, with a maximum of 180.
