Superfund VOCs "Vapor Intrusion"

Sam Mezzacappa/Frank Mezzacappa Jr. and Texaco Corp.
Site Description[1]
Positive Chemicals was a company that packaged and recycled waste chemicals and oil on property leased to it by Texaco Oil Co. It is bordered by Neck Creek which leads to the Arthur Kill. The site originally contained approximately 2,000, 55-gallon drums of waste oil and nine 100,000-gallon tanks which contained a total of 350,000 gallons of waste oil. These drums and tanks were removed from the site. Confirmatory soil samples were collected by NYSDEC in 1990 after the removal action was completed.
