- Local Architect.; fascinated with the beauty and potential of the Newtown Creek area. I want to work with others to clean up the Creek, and protect/promote the surrounding Industrial neighborhoods. Imagine a conservation effort to begin to reclaim the waters; Imagine new, small start-up businesses. A greener community; a new industrial/commercial base, housed in more sustainable buildings; a healthier job-producing zone built on the remains of an earlier, now dysfunctional one. Ideas?
